The Crystal Ball is an item introduced in Livin' Large. It lets a Sim look into the future and allows the player a chance at changing their personality. If the player can figure out the message and direct their Sim to accomplish the task in the next 24 hours, the Sim will have a 1 point addition to that particular personality point. If the task failed, though, the Sim will lose one.
