Dance floors are objects in The Sims: House Party, The Sims 2: Nightlife, The Sims 2: H&M Fashion Stuff, The Sims 3: Late Night and The Sims 4: Get Together. In most games, they function as spaces for Sims to dance on.

The Sims[edit | edit source]

The Sims: House Party introduces a dance floor which allows up to four Sims to dance on it simultaneously, and lights up with colorful patterns when in use. Putting two or more dance floors next to each other synchronizes their patterns. The patterns change depending on the station that is currently playing if a stereo or DJ booth is nearby.

"Bounce My Booty" Dance Floor[edit | edit source]

"Bounce My Booty" Dance Floor
"Get on down! What's that sound? It's all right. Bounce my booty all night!" Remember that song? Who can forget! Just like the dance floor from the movie, "Bounce My Booty" lights up for a night of non-stop dance action! Computer controlled lights respond to the beat! Compatible with most current DJ sound systems.

The Sims 2[edit | edit source]

A dance floor tile is included in The Sims 2: Nightlife as a rug. Its light always flashes between different colors regardless of whether Sims are dancing on it or not, and it doesn't synchronize with neighboring tiles. H&M Fashion Stuff includes an identical rug, except with a different name and description.

Chazz Gassed Incandescent Floor Tile[edit | edit source]

Chazz Gassed Incandescent Floor Tile
Beneath each of these industrial-strength frosted glass tiles, there is a jubilant chemical reaction between various non-toxic phosphorescent gasses. The result is a whimsical display of color that illuminates anyone who is lucky enough to walk (or dance) over this flooring. Sprinkle a few of these on a dance floor, toggle a few options to customize the color scheme, and watch as the chromatic chemistry of the floor sparks some chemistry between your patrons.

Zecutine's "Light Me Up" Catwalk Tile
The "Light Me Up" Catwalk Tile is far more than just ordinary catwalk tile. It actually keeps the runway floor at an even 76 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing models to glide across it comfortably. Warning: If tile temperature begins to climb rapidly, cancel the runway show immediately as spontaneous combustion may occur.

The Sims 3[edit | edit source]

The Sims 3: Late Night has three dance floors of different sizes which do not light up like those in The Sims or The Sims 2. Dancing on a dance floor at a club builds the hidden club dancing skill. Sims can dance on it only if there's music playing in the room.

Get Up, Get Down Dance Floor[edit | edit source]

Get Up, Get Down Dance Floor
Some nights you just want to forget all your cares and get lost in the rhythm of the music. Lay down the Get Up, Get Down Dance Floor and provide a designated dancing area for Sims to shake their body to the beats. It's the perfect place to perform the trendiest new dance craze, from the Llama Hustle to the Thumbs Up Bop to the Jerky Elbow.

The Sims 4[edit | edit source]

The Sims 4: Get Together includes six dance floors, and all of them (except the cheapest dance floor) come in three different sizes. Using a dance floor builds the dancing skill, and Sims can perform special synchronized group dances on it provided their skill is high enough. The "Glow in the Funk" floor is the only one that lights up, though the "Shake and Simmy" floor is transparent, allowing the player to see through to rooms below.
