The dartboard returns in ''[[The Sims 2]]'' and is again a fun object. Two Sims can play at a time, and they will chat with each other whilst playing. The playing Sim will throw three darts, and will react differently depending on their accuracy. If playing with another Sim, the Sim that is not playing will stand off to the side, and may cheer or boo the playing Sim. Once all three darts have been thrown, the playing Sim will collect the darts, tally their score, move back and start again. If they are playing with another Sim, they will move off to the side, and the other Sim plays.
Sims can also "cheat" at the game if they are playing with another Sim. The playing Sim will throw one dart and then distract their partner, causing them to look away. Whilst distracted, the cheater will move up to the dartboard and quickly "bulls-eye" their remaining darts. If the Sim is caught, the Sim who caught the cheater will lose relationship points with them; if not, nothing negative happens, and the Sim who got tricked will act confused and dumbfounded as the cheater boasts about their victory.
Unlike other games, [[child]]ren can use the dartboard, but they cannot cheat with it. They can still be cheated on if they are playing with older Sims.
