Anyone who wants to buy these businesses previously owned by deceased Sims can only buy them unfurnished. This means the new owners need to buy all the furniture, equipment, etc. themselves and hire a different set of staff. To avoid the hassle of furnishing the lot from scratch, the business lot needs to be saved in My Library before the last household member's death. Upon their death, this saved lot can then be placed where the original lot once stood.
