Donnie "Splinter" Shins

Donnie "Splinter" Shins is a character mentioned in The Sims 2 for the Game Boy Advance. He seems to be on bad terms with Frankie Fusilli, and is possibly even an enemy or rival gang leader.

Appearance

Donnie Shins never appears in-game, and instead is only mentioned in "It All Began" by Frankie. Since it is the start of the game, most players finish the level only entering and exiting their home, the Pawn Shop, and the Saloon, therefore most people never get to hear about him. Furthermore, you are restricted to two areas of the town, discouraging players from exploration. However, if you enter Frankie's home, then his room, As you near the stairs, he mistakes you for Donnie. If you then go talk to Frankie, he becomes angry and thinks Donnie sent you. He then realizes his mistake, and becomes secretive. If you try talking to him again, he'll just repeat himself.

Onomatology

His name is probably a reference to Donatello and Master Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Adding to this is the fact that he seems to be on bad terms with Frankie, so if he isn't a rival, he might have ratted Frankie out.
