There are two drones Sims can buy in ''Get Famous'', Up and Adam Streaming Drone and Gotta Stream 'em All Streaming Drone. These drones are used in the [[Media production|media production]] skill and are used to record and stream videos remotely. ''Discover University'' introduces quadcopter drones that can be crafted at the [[robot crafting station]] with the [[robotics]] skill.
Sims can record themselves, other Sims or record the neighborhood; drones will follow or fly around for a period of time before ending their recording where they are. Once their recording is done, Sims can open the drone to transfer their recorded video to the [[Video station|More Views Video Station]]. Drones can either make travel videos, or skill videos. Skill videos are made when the majority of the recording is of a Sim practicing or using a [[skill]].
