The drums are a musical instrument that can be played by Sims. It is not available in The Sims 3 base game, but it is set to be re-introduced in The Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack.
It was not included in The Sims 3 or in its first two expansion packs or stuff packs, but the drums were confirmed to be included in The Sims 3: Late Night, along with a related Drums Skill. The confirmation was made on July 29, 2010 during a Twitter interview with Grant Rodiek, one of the game's producers; the drums are set to return, along with the Piano and Bass.[1].
