Eco-Friendly is a lifestyle trait in Ambitions. It conflicts with Hates the Outdoors.

Eco-Friendly Sims prefer a lifestyle of energy conservation, recycling and sustainable eating.

Attributes

  • Sims will prefer to ride a bike instead of driving a car.
  • Sims will only eat organic food. (In theory, see below)
  • Sims will take quick showers to conserve water.

Player notes

  • Eco-Friendly Sims get a lot of extra moodlets from various household actions and gardening. See Environmentalism.
  • Sims are happy when sharing a car with other Sims (and unhappy when going alone)
  • Sims don't like expensive appliances, because they spend too much energy (washing machine, drying machine etc.) This might be a little annoying if your sim also has the Frugal trait.
  • Though Eco-Friendly Sims like to save the environment, they have no quarrels with riding The Beast since they're riding it alone.
  • Sims will put their wet clothes on the clothesline and not in the Dryer, or else they will get a negative moodlet.
  • Despite the in-game text, Eco-Friendly Sims can eat non-organic food without any negative reactions.
  • Eco Friendly Sims can still be Mean Spirited.
  • Unless they have the Vegetarian trait, Eco-Friendly Sims don't seems to be bothered by eating meat.
  • Eco-Friendly Sims can also have the Vehicle Enthusiast trait as well, despite the fact that they would appear to conflict (since Vehicle Enthusiasts like to drive their own car whilst Eco-Friendly Sims prefer carpooling). If Sims with this combination drive a car, both would have the negative, "wasted resources", and the positive, "enjoying drive" moodlets.
