Title
Stray is for someone to wander from the right place or from one's company. This refers to the Doctor, Charles and Katarina using a portal device that sends them to another world.

- This episode contains Music heard in the beginning and end of Catacomb.

- This episode features Tom Baker and Davros, although there voices are only heard.
- Title that were under consideration were "Authentic" and "Artefact".
Continuity
- Charles Siringo is now included on the Opening Sequence, now apart of the Cast.
- The voice of the Dalek was achieved by using Sound Clips from the New Series episode "Asylum of the Daleks".
- The sound of the Dalek Energy Lasers are the same sounds used in "Remembrance of the Daleks".
- When the Dalek attempts to identify the Doctor, scenes from the Old Series and New Series are shown.
