Contessa makes her returning debut in the Sims 3 as an elder, dead as she is, in the weirdly named Pleasant Strangeville, of the Veronaville sector with her husband Consort, and children Goneril, Regan, Kent, and Cordelia (who is a ghost).

Life in PSV

She lives with her youngest daughter Cordelia, who is also dead due to a fire. According to the family bio, she and Cordelia don't know if they will ever see Consort, Goneril, Regan, or Kent again. According to her daughter's bio, she and Cordelia have been consistently looking for Cordelia's husband Caliban and have come up dry. She is best friends with her daughter and does not know anyone else in her family. Outside the household, she knows Darleen Dreamer, Lyla Grunt, Bella Goth, and Nervous Subject. Like most of her family, she starts off unemployed. Her hair was blonde before it turned gray. She has (deadly) lived 142 days.

Trivia

• She, like some of the others in her sector, is not completely gone, but a playable ghost. Some other examples are Claudio, Olivia Monty and their unborn baby, Hero Monty, and Cordelia Capp.
• She and Consort are still linked as married, as she is playable and therefore does not have her flags reset.
• Her name is not from a Shakespeare play, but merely a title.
