Title
- A cure is to relieve a person of the symptoms of a disease or condition. This refers to the Doctor finding a cure to release Katarina from her zombification disease.
Production Notes
- Katarina Jones does not appear in this episode.
- This is the first episode the Master has appeared in since "Duel".
- This is the first episode since "Outbreak" to have a guest star
- This episode begins with a recap to the events when Katarina was turned into a zombie ("Nemesis"), the Doctor getting caught in the lab explosion and glowing ("Duel"), the Kraken attacking a row boat ("Nirvana") and the Master revealing himself ("Outbreak" and "Duel").
- The voices of the Desk attendant and the Master were audio clips taken from Terror of the Autons.
- Green Kryptonite can be seen sitting next to the potion to cure Zombiefication. This is a reference to the Superman franchise, it can also be heard emitting the same sound that Kryptonite makes.
- This is the first episode to use flashbacks to previous episodes, all the flashbacks are also seen in the recap.
Continuity
- The Master's TARDIS arrives in the resort as a truck, it has previously appeared as a truck in Terror of the Autons.
- The effects of the lab explosion that the Doctor was caught in, are finally appearing. This effects consist of super-powers such as; Super-hearing and Super-speed.
- The Doctor makes a second potion to cure zombification, he previously made this potion in "Duel".
Mistakes
- The ingredients to the cure for zombification are in actual fact the ingredients for the zombification potion.
