Dorothée was born in the sleepy town of Huntsville. Her mother [[Fanon:Rosalène Dortheimer|Rosalène]] was a naturalist and her father Patrick was a superstar Athlete. Rosalène was a really caring mother and she took care of her a lot, and she taught Dorothée all her toddler skills, as Patrick was really busy with his career. She quickly got a sister, [[Fanon:Lily Dortheimer|Lily]], and the two girls soon became Best Friends.

She grew up in an healthy child and at school, she stood out of the crowd by her intelligence. She had a really fast learning skill and as such, she soon became bored while the teachers had to reexplain some things to the other kids.

She was extremely unpopular at school: first, other kids were jealous of her great grades. But mostly, Dorothée was extremely snooty. She was continuously strutting about her being "far more intelligent, bright and beautiful" than the others children. To get things worse, she was the teachers' favorite and they always took Dorothée's side. This resulted in the teacher's ignoring the kids that complained about Dorothée rather humiliating comments.

Her parents were really proud of her and did not care when other kids' parents complained to them about Dorothée's attitude at school. Her sister admired her and she wanted to be as intelligent as her sister, a thing she accomplished. However, Lily was less despised than her sister because of her less arrogant demeanor.

Tragedy struck when her father, who was taking a bath in the see, got stung by a Box Jellyfish and died due to it's extremely hazardous and painful venom. It wasn't the first nor the last time someone would die in the sea near the red seashore villa: Dorothée's grandfather walked on a deadly reef stonefish (one of the most poisonous fishes in the entire ocean), and much later, Lunaire Dortheimer would drown in it.

Rosalène then had to raise her daughters alone. Hopefully for her, Lily and Dorothée were really mature and didn't need their mother as much as other children.

When she became a teen, she became even more obnoxious than before with the other students. She took a teen job in the Business career track and reached it's top at lightning speed. She also was ready to do everything to outshine the others with the most cunning methods.

One day, Rosalène brought home a gift she received at work: a cowplant. However, Rosalène locked it away from her daughters , fearing an accident. She also warned them about the gruesome end that awaited them if they got preyed on by the monstruous plant. She also gained 7 scholarships thanks to her skills.

When both her and Lily wer teens, they went to university. They were as talented as ever and Dorothée was also as mean and haughty as ever. Dorothée's and Lily's ease toward studies (despite not working at all outside class) clashed with the harsh reputation of the Academie Le Tour, where even hard-working students had difficulties with their studies and had no freetime at all. Combined with Dorothée's constant scorn and arrogance, this sent half of the other students to the nursing home due to a deep depression.

There is one student however that had not to hear about Dorothée's big and easy success and beauty: Stéphane Deschamps, Dorothée's crush. When she was near him, her braggin'-o-meter typed in the zero and she couldn't say anything out of shyness.

Stéphane, who knew Dorothée's reputation, noticed that Dorothée was highly smitten with him, and was proud of being the sole student that impressed her. However, her reputation first led him to avoid her. Seeing that Stéphane did not really want to go out with Dorothée and that this saddened her a lot, Lily decided to push Stéphane toward her sister. At first, Stéphane was rather reluctant, but no one dare underestimate Lily's highly persuasive personality, and Stéphane was finally convinced to give it a try.

Dorothée and Stéphane went steady together, and it wasa breath of fresh air for all the other students, as Dorothée now had far less time to boast and humiliate them, dallying with her other-half most of the time.

Trivia

  • Dorothée, despite not being the family's matriarch, is the very first Dortheimer I created, some weeks after the launch of The Sims 3 Open For Business.
  • Originally, Dorothée did not wear jewels (Bon Voyage had not been even announced at the time. I added the earring and the necklace when I recreated her for the Sims 2 a lot of time later. The Same thing goes for the seashore villa:at first is was a normal villa place placed near some water.
  • Dorothée Dortheimer is one of the two only Sims in the legacy to have a Sims 3 appearance despite she has never lived in any Sim 3 neighborhood (the other is Dorothée's mother Rosalène.
