The day Gordon and Gloria turned to Elders, Gordon retired from his career. Grace, Greg, George, Michelle, and Chelsea moved out to a different house so Gloria and Gordon could enjoy their retirement in peace and quiet.
Gordon and Gloria both saw Grace and Greg's divorce, and later get married to [[Fanon:Arthur Dean|Arthur Dean]], then having three new kids with him, [[Fanon:Sawyer Dean|Sawyer]], [[Fanon:Colby Dean|Colby]], and [[Fanon:Ashli Dean|Ashli]]. Soon, Gordon was really close to the end of his life, so Grace and Chelsea took Riley to come see Gordon and Gloria for their last few days so they could meet and get to know their great-grandson.
