Trivia
- Schoinos means rope, and the plural form is Schoinoi. The region in Ptolemaic Egypt named Triakontaschoinos, meaning 30 ropes, is the basis for the name, and hence the usage of the singular form schoinos at the ending rather than schoinoi. This is because numbers above 3 does not have inflections.
