I didn't mind, and personally wouldn't have noticed even when it was moved anyways. The reason why I kept it at the user page is simply because many of them are still rather incomplete, but if you deem some of them to be complete enough, feel free to move them into the fanon area: after all, I still can edit them there. Yes, I have not patched, but I recently had to format my hard drive after something strange happened when I run TS3 for the last time. I still have into an older computer, however a single-core processor is just too slow for CAW. So in this... I'm afraid I cannot help you. But give me the neighborhood anyway... I was absent during this event, and I can see another admin has taken action against. But you can take action as well. You can't officialy warn or block the IP of course, but you may undo the edit by clicking the "undo" button to revert the page to a previous revision, and then explain why you did that in the edit summary. You are actually encouraged to do so as well. Since you have a quite big number of edits, I believe you should opt for requestiong rollback rights on the wiki. 13:07, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Well, it's simple. From your game, press Print Screen button (it's next to Scroll Lock in your Windows QWERTY keyboard) and do not copy anything else. Get a painting program and paste the image. You get the screenshot with the UI. Hope this helps.

No, I do not speak nor write Latin fluently. I use translators, both virtual and printed. Honestly, there are no "true" cowboys in Texas. A few people do dress up like them, but they are not true cowboys or cowgirls. We really do drive cars, but certain people do like to ride horses. Fanon help?

Hello!

A mod told me I could ask you on help on how to create my first Fanon :)

I made one, but I felt like deleting it; so I did. Now I'm starting a new one but I was wondering how I can create a Simbio with that Sim Template thing...as I am a bit confused on how to work it all! I have read the policies and how to make one, but I'm still a bit confused as to how to get the SimBio Template and how to fully make sure I don't get the "cleanup" warning.

re: fanon cleanup

the cleanup template is not only for tagging fanon that still doesnt meet the standard, its also used to tag a newly created fanon. it will be on the fanon and will be gone as soon as the newly created fanon not too minim with story and the layout is neat enough so its doesn't matter if it on the fanon along the construction tag and evolve tag.

There is a case before some new fanon that tagged only with construction tag, is only edited for 3 days then it is abandoned. that make those fanon that doesnt meet the standard is unnoticeable until I read 1 by 1 all fanons on the wiki. Wiryawan310 04:29, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

At first I did not understand much because I was never familiar with the Greek culture and I thought by skimming through it at first I swore it was just about a political fanon ( which I guess it really is). So being the curious and wanting to understand and enjoy this fanon, I went and read books and researched some things online about some of the things discussed in the Time Paradox. My brain switched some things around and with that I constructed the story in my brain similar to a movie from the research I've done and your fanon and started to understand. I've made it into some sort of anime so it wouldn't be hard to understand. I guess the commenter did not fully understood the story because they are not familiar with plot but by putting the laconic page, they can read it and start to understand it a bit more. Okay let me actually make it much clearer. I was picturing your fanon as an anime in my head similar to when a person reads a book and pictures the story in their head like watching a movie (really isn't a bad thing, hope you weren't offended. I can't picture reading to watching real life action anymore.) Also when I meant with the big words, I meant people would see the names of the characters and probably think "Dang, I don't understand that not worth my time to read!" like some sort of ignorant person or someone who does not have time to look up the names meaning or pronunciations (dunno if that was the right word.) Sadly its true, I had my sister read your fanon and she walked away saying your writing was too much for her (she thought you were a teacher and was testing people online with your fanon, weird girl). She said it was because of the names that threw her off, she has never seen names like "Kallisto" before and was never interested in any other type of writing except romance. You use a lot of words that even an eleven year old braniac like me doesn't understand. I get the basic concept, but I still don't get it. I know that a bunch of groups came to Sunset Valley and somethings got...er....stirred up. Then something happened that involved Christopher Steel and Kallisto hates romance. Then there is something to do with Hypathia. Then Holly Alto went insane and then a lot of people became crazy and Kallisto started The Union of the Insane and Hypathia is the only sane one. It also looks like the people in Time Paradox are in some kind of religious cult or something.

Hope you don't mind if I butt in, but when I discussed it with Wogan, he said the layout of Ryan Cole is eligible to be not stub, or as shown in here. And IMO, {{Fanon-end}} isn't really needed for fanon Sims. If it just ends, just let it that way. I still need to clarify it though... Nikel _Talk 16:07, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

One thing that's more crucial than length is the incompleteness. Some fanons just have a good length, but it's highly possibly incomplete. This is the point I'm confused, whether it must not be incomplete, or short, or both. Nikel _Talk 16:17, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

To me, the stub tag is somewhat a "reminder" for the authors that they have abused the evolve and ud template, and it will eventually lead to a conclusion whether the fanon is abandoned (it's still worthy to read) or subject to deletion. But sometimes, perhaps tagging a fanon as stub is not necessary, but I'm not sure when. Oh, and to me, the Vegas are not worth it. :/ It doesn't even contain any images, and it clearly shows that it's not complete, breaking the 2 rules. Nikel _Talk 16:32, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

I don't know... It's a bit too late for tonight, and hopefully I can make it tomorrow. You can just keep tagging what's necessary (Check those who aren't usually familiar, as it's a good target). It's quality VS quantity, completeness VS length. I naturally agree with the tagging you've done. Seriously, most of them are real stubs. All neighborhoods you have other than Sunset Valley, Twinbrook, and Appaloosa Plains. Check the 3 hoods I mentioned. I finally found the images that appear when you choose a neighborhood in the game. RE: Acquiring Moodlet Icons

The former contributors of list of Moodlets are Trimalynn and Simsimaalane, and when I asked them how the acquired those images, they said they printscreened and cropped those images. There's no real work requirement involved, but you'd be able to publish status updates for TSW, and who wouldn't want to be able to do that? As of late, I can not open the game without it crashing five minutes later. However, if you would prefer, I could start the Fanon page for you with all of the information (traits, state, etc) and then you could decide what his role in the Fanon is, though since you hinted working with Isis I suppose it would be against the Ecclesiarchy. Fanon Battles template

I wanted to let you know, I moved the Fanon Battles 'module' from The Sims Wiki:Fanon Portal to Template:Fanon Battle, so it can be edited quickly without having to find the template in the code on the Fanon Portal page. This also means we could feature Fanon Battles on the mainpage, since we'd just have to link to the same template. That's a discussion for a different day, however.

If you need to edit the template, I've added a 'secret' link to it. Just click on the boxing glove icon on the green 'Fanon Battles' header bar on the Fanon Portal to go directly to the template.

Notice about the Warning template

Hello fellow administrator. I wanted to make you aware of an upcoming changeover regarding the {{Warning}} template. You can see the discussion of this change here.

Starting now, a new warning template will be available for use. This template is currently available at {{NewWarning}}. However, on April 2, the new warning template will be moved to {{Warning}} and the old warning template will be retired. Please use this transition period to test out the new template before the full changeover. In the period leading up to the changeover, please report any bugs or issues, and offer any suggestions, in the new template discussion

The new template does away with the <reason> parameter of the old template. You can now make your warning more specific by filling in the <type> parameter. Type will automatically load in text depending on the type and the level you select. Additionally, certain types have multiple 'levels', ranging from 1 to 3, with 1 being the least severe, and 3 being the most severe phrasing of the warning message itself. The types are:

• Vandalism (entered as 'vandal#') warns against making non-constructive edits. The 'vandal1' message is the template's default message if no type is entered.
• Blanking pages or sections (entered as 'blank#') warns against removing content from entire pages or sections of pages.
• Removing content (entered as 'remove#') warns against removing useful and accurate content from pages.
• Violating file policy (entered as 'file#') warns users that upload files or images in violation of the Image and File policy.
• Disruptive behavior (entered as 'disrupt') warns users that attack other users, engage in edit warring, etc.
• Sockpuppetry (entered as 'sock') warns users that are suspected of having control over multiple unauthorized accounts.
• Additionally, there is a custom option available if none of the pre-existing types suit your needs. If you choose to use a custom message, the <type> parameter should be set to 'custom' and the optional <custom> parameter will hold your message. If <type> says anything other than 'custom' and the <custom> parameter is filled in, the custom message will not display.

So, to sum it up, the parameters are:

<type>: You should fill this parameter in, unless you're alright with displaying the default, non-specific warning text.

<custom>: Fill this in only if you've filled in 'custom' under the <type> parameter; otherwise, leave this blank.

<sig>: This parameter is mandatory - include your signature here.

<other>: If you want to include additional information to the recipient, you can fill in this parameter. The text you enter will appear below your signature but above the 'boilerplate' message at the bottom of the notification.

One last thing... remember to substitute the template, just as you do when you use {{Warning}}. This is to ensure that any future changes to the template don't alter how it appears on user talk pages.

A small problem with the property template

Regarding your message on Lab, it was I who designed the {{Property}} template so that the ownership of the fanon will automatically change to whoever edits the fanon last. I did this because a lot of people always negligently forget to include who actually owns the fanon (i.e., they attach {{Property}} instead of {{Property|Nikel23}}). I added the {{REVISIONUSER}} magic word for a temporary workaround until someone could fix the template usage. I was wondering if 65.129.158.170 could be a sockpuppet of 65.78.158.183 by any chance. They both start with "65" and they both have negative editing history which leads me to question if they could be from the same location and if they could be the same user. C.Syde, According to IP lookup, those two addresses are hosted by two different Internet Service Providers and are located in different areas. Just because some numbers in an IP address match, that doesn't mean the two addresses are necessarily related. Aside from a similar user name, there is nothing to suggest that this person is Cubistic.mage (talk · contribs · editcount · block · modify rights · logs · block log). And since that account has not edited in a couple years and is currently disabled on Wikia, it would be impossible to do a CheckUser between the two.
