Before Fanon

Long before any events occurred, Lance and Scarlet were happily in love and married. Then one day, Scarlet decided that she wanted to have a child. Although Lance knew that there was a half and half chance that the child would turn out to be a vampire, he took the risk and did it to make Scarlet happy. When Scarlet finally did give birth however, it was revealed that the child, a young girl who Scarlet named Ava, was a vampire. Lance left the family and left them with a large fortune, as well as leaving the new child with the manor that Lance's parents grew up in.

Life Story

He is first revealed when Ava first moves into Oakenstead Manor, in the form of a written letter, which reveals that he is still alive and wishes to see how Ava grew up. It is then revealed that he was currently in Moonlight Falls, and working on a cure for Ava as an outlet for his guilt. He finally makes a real life appearance when Adam reveals him as his old neighbor.
