Lance's family hasn't heard from him in about 20 years. He doesn't even know that his wife passed away. So what happens when his daughter starts letters from him?
Lance wears clothing with a black and white color scheme, and his clothes are usually very formal looking, and his hair is always brushed well. Ava got the majority of her looks from her father, including her black hair and violet eyes.
Lance is a very mysterious and very formal adult, but dosn't treat his daughter like the way a "normal" father would, not loving her and being actively involved in her life, instead perferring to give her large amounts of money and buying her fine and expensive clothing, due to the fact that he abandond her and her mother. This is proven by the fact that he reserved a mansion for her when she was still a toddler.
Lance and Scarlet met one rainy afternoon at Magnolia Blossom Park, and before either of them knew it, Lance and Scarlet were happily in love and married. Then one day, Scarlet decided that she wanted to have a child. Although Lance knew that there was a half and half chance that the child would turn out to be a vampire, he took the risk and did it to make Scarlet happy. When Scarlet finally did give birth however, it was revealed that the child, a young girl who Scarlet named Ava, was a vampire. Due to this, Lance left the family out of guilt and left them with a large fortune, as well as leaving the new child with the manor that Lance's parents grew up in.
Lance spent his Adult life as an alchemist in Moonlight Falls, working on a cure for Ava's vampire urges so that she could finally properly fit in to society and make freinds like any other normal person her age would. As he was usually cooped up inside his lab all day and rarely ever went outside, he gained the nickname "The Mysterious Man" from his fellow Moonlight Falls residents. He only knew one family as freinds, the two boys in the Brady family. The two that lived in that house affectionally refer to him as "Uncle Lance".
A long while into his career, he felt a strong urge to visit Ava, and so began writing letters to the Oakenstead Manor in hopes of seeing how she was doing with her life. He was pleased to know that she had began to live in the manor that he had given to her as a young girl, and was especially pleased to know that she was now engaged to her butler.
He is first revealed when Ava first moves into Oakenstead Manor, in the form of a written letter, which reveals that he is still alive and wishes to see how Ava grew up. It is then revealed that he was currently in Moonlight Falls, and working on a cure for Ava as an outlet for his guilt. He finally makes a real life appearance when Adam reveals him as his old neighbor.
