The Levensbury family was begun by Michael Levensbury, the son of a less-than-profitable baker and a woman one could say was "too easily mobile". He quickly rose to prominence, manipulating a wealthy celebrity, Stella Striker into a marriage and swindling her (ex-)husband's house away, converting it into his new mansion. He took her son, Sebastian Striker as a ward thereafter.
