McKayla doesn't understand her life. She has faint memories of a woman with short black hair abandoning her and leaving her with her 'Dad' as she called had been told to call him. Now that she is a child her memories are clearer she longs for the woman, Macey even though she had no clue why.
McKayla Trinket is the daughter of Niall Space and Macey Trinket. She was born after her mother left her father and was returned one night to Niall even thought he had no idea she was even born. Although she has heard Macey was an awful mother she wants to be with her mum despite everything even though she had no clue where to start looking for her.
Before she was born, Niall had a crush on Macey from afar but she never seemed to notice him. Finally he asked her out and she said yes. Niall was blissfully happy but Macey suffered from commitment issues. After Graduation, Niall and Macey moved in together but Macey wanted to be free. Finally MAcey planned everyhthing and decided to go trekking with some friends from college but didn't tell Niall. She woohooed with him but then left via the window to go. When Niall woke up he was devastated. Macey travelled around a lot and when she began gaining weight didn't even consider the possibility of pregnancy until one night she went into labour. Macey was horrified at this and thought it was all Niall's fault for getting her pregnant in the first place.
As a baby, Macey didn't want McKayla so she drove to Niall's house and gave him McKayla. She spared no thought for what Niall was going through but was happy to be rid of McKayla. McKayla was well cared for by Niall but Belle felt McKayla had stolen her attention.
AS a toddler, McKayla was taught to talk and walk by Niall. Belle was taken to a mental institute in Belladonna Cove so McKayla had Niall all to herself. She was happy without Belle as Belle had never been very nice to her.
As a child, McKayla was annoyed as Niall insisted they visit Belle and was happy when Belle refused all visitors as she didn't have to see her. McKayla began searching online for Macey simply out of curiosity for the mother she never knew. She thought her dad would be okay with her search but she was very wrong. One day, he caught her searching and for a second she thought he was going to hit her, her banned her from searching for the woman he said had ruined his life.
