- Nirvana is a state of perfect happiness; an ideal or idyllic place. This refers to the 1970's Paradise Resort the Doctor and Charles find.

- Katarina has found the time to change clothes since becoming a zombie. After the opening sequence, she reverts back to the original clothes she was wearing in Enigma of the Dead.
