"So," said Elvira. "Pierce. This is what will soon be our secret little group. No one, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can know of its existence. If word gets out... well, I'll know where to find you. Do I make myself clear?" I nodded.
"Good," she answered, her red eyes boring into mine. Just as I was about to look away, Elvira did. Then she began to address the crowd.
"Everyone, we are gathered here for a very important cause. This is something that could change the fate of Bridgeport, and later the world, forever. So I suggest you pay attention. Everyone.
"There has been a new influx of vampires in Bridgeport. The population has increased dramatically. Now, I'm not going to point fingers, but someone in this room caused this problem. But, there is also a bright side to this. Without this, none of us would be here to day. It may not be so appealing, but now we must all work together to eradicate these evildoers.
"The whole thing is that these newer vampires have no control over their thirst. They feed at will, and this has caused a dramatic rise in Bridgeport's vampires. If these vampires, who from now on will be referred to as 'The Bad Ones', are allowed to continue, then there will be no humans left in Bridgeport, and they will move on to other parts of SimNation to find prey.
"We, the members of this organization, will be referred to as the Good Ones. I am strictly prohibiting you from feeding directly from Sims from now on. Only Plasma Packs and Plasma Fruits will be allowed. If I catch any of you breaking the rules... again, I know where all of you live. Any questions?"
No one raised their hands.
"Alright," said Elvira, sighing. "You may converse amongst yourselves."
Nisha came over to where Brigit and I were sitting, and she gave Brigit a friendly hug. "So, you've got it now?" she asked me, and she winked at Brigit.
"Yeah. Elvira's threat will prevent me from misbehaving."
Nisha and Brigit giggled. "Yeah," said Nisha. "Mom can be a little strict." Nisha waved goodbye, and mouthed See ya later. Then she walked off to where Elvira had gone. Brigit took advantage of the moment and I was formally introduced to all of the vampires.
Wogan, Morrigan, Belisama (who was only a kid), William, Erika, Jessica, Vladimir, Flo-Flo, Beau, Bianca, and of course there was Brigit, Nisha, Elvira, and me. There were fourteen of us in all. I only had time for introductions, because after a "Hello" or "Welcome to the Gang", Brigit pulled me along. My arm hurt from being pulled around, and I felt more like a chew toy than a vampire.
This happened several more times over the next few months. Brigit and I went out, and officially became a couple. It wasn't until many months later that I took a giant leap of faith. We were outside. Alone in front of the Slayer penthouse, just Brigit and me. I fingered in my back pocket, and found what I was looking for. It was a parting gift from Dad; he gave it to me right before I departed for Bridgeport.
