When Vita Alto and Nancy Landgraab compete in mayor election, Thornton Wolff choose to side with Vita, since he also friend and a subordinate of her husband, Nick. He even became the leader of the Alto supporters, growing a feud with Dieter Curtiz.
Thornton led his group to confront Dieter's. They were yelled at each other and a fight almost broke. However, the fight stopped thanks to Gunther Goth.
A week before the election, Thornton involved to succeed Vita's plan framing Nancy Landgraab for a fake attack on the Alto house. He helped Nick bought a voice changer device and somehow got Nancy's voice. He then made a fake voice-record resembling Nancy's.
The plan was succeeded as Nancy Landgraab arrested for the crime she never committed. At the Vita's party, he and Nick celebrated Vita's victory. Their conversation about what have they done recorded and overheard by Simis Bachelor who infiltrated the house. However, Simis was knocked unconscious by the guard. Thornton was shocked and became afraid, however, Vita stated that the evidence was in their hand and Simis couldn't do anything without it.It was unknown what happened with Thornton after Vita's death. However, during the time of Book 2 and If Astrid Met Leona, it was revealed that Thornton now worked as teacher in Leona and Astrid's school.
The reason of why he changed his job was unknown. But it was possible that he fired not long after Vita's death and forced to find another job.
