Recently EA have announced the upcoming release of a handful of new "kits." Kits are presumably DLC that are less substantial than stuff packs. We've got three kits coming so far; The Sims 4: Bust the Dust Kit, The Sims 4: Country Kitchen Kit and The Sims 4: Throwback Fit Kit.

It seems to me that these kits are going to be somewhat comparable in size, scope, and price to Store sets from the Sims 3 era. In any case, they don't seem to be all that substantial; even less so than the already quite sparse stuff packs. I just don't see how any of the Kit articles will have enough content to make it worth giving them all separate articles. I think it'd make more sense to merge the three kit articles together, as well as any future information about new TS4 kits, into a single article, like "List of kits for The Sims 4", or something similar. • I agree. Since three kits are apparently being released at once, it seems like there will be a lot in the future, and having an individual page for each kit just isn't practical, in my opinion. Only one kit has something new in it gameplay wise, and they all have very little to write about. - ✨AireDaleDogz✨ (talk | contribs) 08:12, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
• I forward this. Each pack has minor stuff about it, and it looks to be CAS Kit, Build Kit, and Gameplay Kit. If in the future the kit page gets too big we could try and separate them based on Kits for CAS, Build, and Gameplay. WizardJeremy (talk) 18:50, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
• I agree too, it would get very cluttered with stub articles. But having watched the bust the dust livestream and played it myself, there is a lot of gameplay with that kit, and quite a bit to write about. Maybe only separate articles for the gameplay kits (and possibly future world kits)? Or at least a separate article about vaccuum cleaners? Simmietime (talk) 12:30, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
  • I think just an article about vacuum cleaners would be enough, like how there are articles for objects/venues from The Sims 3 Store but not entire sets. For example: Artisan's Glassblowing and Jewelry Making Station, Prism Art Studio, Leon's Fountain of Youth, etc. - ✨AireDaleDogz✨ (talk | contribs) 13:04, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

• If we do end up merging the articles, I've designed a bit of an update to the "releases and updates" template we use on the main page in my sandbox. The kit names would redirect to specific headings on the "List of kits in The Sims 4" page, like for example "List of kits in The Sims 4#Bust the Dust Kit".
