I would like to discuss the idea of merging all The Sims 4 stuff pack articles into a single article.

Why do this? Currently The Sims 4 has ten stuff packs released, with an eleventh coming in a couple weeks, and a twelfth already confirmed to be in production (The Sims 4: Eco Living Stuff). It can be safely assumed that we will see several more stuff packs come out before The Sims 4 wraps up. This is many more stuff packs than The Sims 2 or The Sims 3 received, and largely confirms the theory that TS4 stuff packs are in large part replacing the store packs for TS3. As we don't have individual pages for TS3 store packs, it raises the question of why we'd have individual pages for TS4 packs.

The stuff packs in The Sims 4 do not include much in the way of new content, and the pack can usually be summarized just in the opening lead paragraph(s). Expansion and game packs often include new playable characters, new worlds, many new objects and features, and other elements that warrant further explanation in additional sections on the page. Currently, eleven of twelve of our stuff pack articles are marked as Sims 4 stub pages, and I believe that they are stubs because there just simply isn't enough to say about them to pad out their length. -- LiR talk · blog · contribs 17:53, June 9, 2017 (UTC)

Discussion[edit source]

  • Support It seems evident EA is milking this part of TS4 to the bare bone. Creating new articles for these stuff packs and having to remember which templates need updating and which category needs creating is becoming cumbersome and tiring, with little to no benefit. I support merging them all into one article and turning the existing titles into redirects to their appropriate sections on that article. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 19:31, June 9, 2017 (UTC)
