I don't see why such information should not be in the article itself. "Picture articles" seem very needlessly redundant. Also, slideshows are a terrible way of displaying important images like floorplans because one has to do a lot of extra clicking in order to see relevant images. Slideshows are better for trivial images that one may or may not have much interest in seeing. A normal gallery, without the slideshow, would be more suited as all of the images would be shown at once.
