< Hi when I started my sims 2 today the dog and cats has no sound, you can't hear them bark or meow and you can't hear them interact with things, like if they eating etc. and when the sims interact with the pet, you can't hear their voice etc.

I have looked and nothing is muted, please help me!!: 62.182.0.193 (talk) 20:51, November 13, 2014 (UTC)

Are sounds working for other parts of the game? (i.e. music, voices of other Sims, sounds of objects, ambience) --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 20:55, November 13, 2014 (UTC)

Have you tried seeing if the issue occurs in other neighborhoods? If they don't, it's an issue inside the neighborhood itself. If the issue occurs in other neighborhoods, go to the "My Documents/EA Games" folder. There should be a folder in there called "The Sims 2" (just "The Sims 2", no expansion packs or stuff packs). Rename that folder to "The Sims 2-BAK", and then start the game again. The game should generate a new "The Sims 2" folder in the "EA Games" folder. Your saved games, custom content, and extracted Sim appearances should not appear (don't panic, that information is NOT lost, it's in your "The Sims 2-BAK" folder). Now try and replicate the issue. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 21:07, November 13, 2014 (UTC)
