I'm creating this topic because I'm unsure of how we proceed in the short term regarding the possibility of The Sims 3: University (or some alternate name). Here's the information:

Maxis today (Oct. 9) held a live event where they announced, among other things, development details on the new SimCity, more information about The Sims 3: Seasons, and an official announcement on The Sims 3: 70's, 80's & 90's Stuff. Near the end of the event, after the announcement of TS3:Decades, some people came on stage wearing college clothing. After they left the stage, the two announcers jokingly wondered whether the people "belong back in university or something like that." (The event can be seen in its entirety here, with the joke "outburst" coming less than a minute before the end.)

Here's the thing. I do not believe we should create a page on The Sims 3: University yet. While Maxis strongly hinted at its announcement, they have yet to do so openly, either in an event or through a press release. To that end, I've gone and protected that page from creation and made a redirect to this page. It's worth noting that Maxis has joked about 'possible' expansion packs before.

That said, I do believe that Maxis will announce University, but I believe we need to wait for official confirmation before we can create a page for it. What does everyone think about this? -- LiR speak ~ read 00:04, October 10, 2012 (UTC)
