:No, not really. As a site note, I'm not a big jazz fan myself, I just like saxophones. TPBM prefers the FANDOM brand over the Wikia one. ::Heh, nice to see this thread got resurrected fairly quickly. I absolutely despite the FANDOM branding. "FANDOM" is an unimaginative and unoriginal term. Wikia is original and it sets the site apart from other sites as being a wiki farm. "FANDOM" just seems like it's trying to fit in with a crowd that's already full, and it doesn't stand out, apart from its ugliness. It also undermines Wikia's primary intentions as being a wiki farm and a wiki hosting site; it's possible to write about stuff on a wiki that you are not a fan of. What are the wikis about WWII genocides like the Nanking Massacre and the Comfort Women supposed to do? The "FANDOM" brand seems to imply that they're a "fan" of these historical events, which I'm sure they're not. Also, it seems like Wikia is silently changing "Fandom" to all caps "FANDOM", which is 1) Shouting; 2) Impolite; and 3) Seems like a really, ''really'' aggressive move to try and force the new branding down everyone's throats. Personally I am unmoved and will continue to refer to this site as "Wikia", if it so pisses "FANDOM" lovers off.
