Here what I think is a real based fact on Simnation(these are not confirmed)
Simnation takes place on Simdoina or Simadoina I forgot which one. Simnation has the same geography as South America not India look at the point on Sims 2 Seasons it looks like the front of South America than India.Simnation is not in the USA because of how it is shaped in Sims 2 Seasons. However, Sims 4 is Willow Creek takes place in the New Orleans which is on Earth. And Oasis Springs is based on Los Angeles' deserts. I also don't believe the Sims 3 takes place before because you can look at some of the hints it does even though EA says it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.35.211.51 (talk • contribs)
Yeah, actually i thought it was a world where everyone spoke one language, feasibly smaller than Earth is. Simnation is one big nation comprising most of the known world ('cept the TS3 foreign destinations. TS2 vacation destinations are just places with a quite different culture. But they're still in Simnation. There's one city named Simcity and most of the neighborhood we see are actually part of the city. Exceptions would be Lunar Lakes that's on the moon of a faraway planet, Dragon Valley that's closer to "another plane of existence" where dragons and magic are from, the foreign TS3 destinations, and well that's it. All the rest is part of Simcity, except for custom worlds and other mentioned places (and the stuff in sims\pet stories) who would be other small towns in Simnation. This is why they're named neighborhoods, they're differet neighborhoods in the big city. Wich has a lot of terrain and weather pattern difference apparently. In TS3 instead Sunset Valley is the only one that's in Simcity the others are in Simnations too but not exactly part of the city.

Twinbrook: the more humid part of SimNation (swamp\bayou)
Bridgeport, Starlight Shores, Roaring Heights: more urbanized big towns
Hidden Springs, Lucky Palms, Monte Vista, Aurora Skies: more "vacationy" type of towns
Sunlit Tides, Barnacle Bay, Isla Paradiso: off the coast of the mainland
Midnight Hollow, Moonlight Falls: more "secluded" and spooky places.
