Frances J. Worthington III is a pre-made college student studying Economics in his Freshman year at La Fiesta Tech, one of the college sub-neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2: University. His name may be a typo, as "Frances" with an "e" is a woman's name.

Maxis probably intended for him to be named "Francis," as he is referred to in his bio and his household description. This can be corrected by following the instructions given here. SimPE should not be used to correct this, as it may not update all references correctly.

Despite being described as rich, he only has about §950 in cash. However, the furnishings in his house are expensive, and he has a total worth of §14,917. He has one point in Charisma, Cleaning, and Logic, but no other skills.

If he marries after leaving college, and he is the one to initiate the "Propose ... Marriage" interaction, his spouse and children will inherit the III in his name, which can be very irritating. This is a problem he shares with Malcolm Landgraab IV, and it can be corrected with SimPE.

He shares his last name with the Marsha Worthington from Whiskerton and the Worthington family from Starlight Shores. There is also a pig in MySims Kingdom (Wii) which has a similar name to Frances, the pig being named Percival J. Worthington III.

Frances is 65 hours away from the final exam in his first semester, when the household is first played. Like several other Sims from La Fiesta Tech, he starts off with no gender preference. Also when viewing Frances' character file in SimPE his zodiac sign is not recognized.

Certain parts of Frances' face, such as the jaw, use a slightly modified version of a pre-made face from Create a Sim. This CAS face, if used on toddlers or children, has a shrunken chin and plump face.

The CAS bins for child, teenage, adult, and elder males with light skin, and young adult males with tanned skin each have a version of this face. The parts of Frances' face that don't use any versions of the CAS face are customized from the default 16th face template.
