Game guide:Making an Alien

Making an alien

An alien made in CAS from a normal Sim in The Sims 4.

This is a tutorial for creating aliens in The Sims 3 and The Sims 4. Before The Sims 3: Seasons and The Sims 4: Get to Work, it is possible to create a basic alien without using cheats or hacks.

The Sims 3 Edit

As Create a Sim in The Sims 3 comes with a tool which lets you choose an exact skin tone, you can create an "alien" by making a Sim have green skin as well as various other alien features. If you want a "real" alien, follow this guide below:

  1. First, press Ctrl-Shift-C before entering Create a Sim, which opens the cheat console.
  2. Type in "unlockoutfits on." This enables you to make your alien have an "alien" costume.
  3. Enter Create a Sim mode.
  4. Customize your new alien Sim. Some common features that aliens have are:
    • green skin tone
    • unique names
      • Common alien names are: Pol Tech (Pollination Technician) and Colony Drone
      • For a last name, pick a number
        • Pollination Technicians have low numbers
        • Colony Drones have higher numbers
    • average weight and very high muscularity, as aliens are considered "superhuman"
    • Young Adult life stage (optional, but recommended)
    • facial features
      • large eyes with black irises
      • small ears
      • a long, gaunt face
      • a small, flat nose
      • black hair, green, hair, or bald (optional, but recommended)
      • facial hair (optional, not recommended)
  5. Choose clothing. Your alien could have normal clothes to fit in, or be in their Colony Drone outfit or Pollination Technician jumpsuit (these extra outfits were unlocked from the cheat you entered earlier in step 2).
  6. Decide their personality. Make them have an interesting or complex personality, as they are obviously not normal compared to other Sims. Make them be artistic, ambitious, hydrophobic or something like that.
  7. Select a Lifetime Wish. Make it be something adventurous, like "Seasoned Traveler". Maybe they just want to fit in with the Sim crowd and be something different.
  8. Pick their voice. Make it sound like an alien.
  9. Family Ties: It is suggested that your alien lives alone to start off with. But if you want, you could create a fellow alien sibling, family, or whatever you want.
  10. When you're done customizing, place your alien in a lot and do what you want with them. Their children will retain some of their appearance through genetics.

The Sims 4 Edit

It's possible to make an alien in Create A Sim starting from a normal simalien-sim hybrid, or spellcaster. The sim will have the appearance of being an alien, but it will be no more than an appearance.[1] Since the release of the game, they can also wear regular clothes and have hair. To create an alien follow this guide below:

  1. Full View: First, name your alien whatever you want. Make their voice sound like an alien. Give them an interesting or complex personality. Age, and walk style are up to you.
  2. Head View: Next, sculpt your alien's face to make them have:
    • green, blue, red, purple (if starting from an alien-sim Hybrid), gray, or white skin
    • long, thin face
    • large pointed ears
    • large black eyes
    • eyebrows (optional)
    • flat nose
    • hair (optional, but not recommended)
    • facial hair (optional, but not recommended)
  3. Full Body: Finally, you can give your alien normal clothes for fitting in, or clothes similar to alien suits.

Creating a Na'vi Edit

In Create A Sim, you can create a na'vi by starting with a normal sim [2]alien-sim hybrid, or spellcaster by following this guide below:

  1. Full View: First, name your na'vi whatever you want. Voice, personality traits, age, and walk style are up to you.
  2. Head View: Next, sculpt your na'vi's face to make them have:
    • blue skin
    • a triangular face
    • pointed ears
    • large eyes
    • a flat nose
    • freckles
    • black hair (box braids or ponytail)
  3. Full Body: Finally, make your na'vi slimmer. Give them as little clothes as possible, and some tattoos.

The Sims 4: Get To Work Edit

In The Sims 4: Get to Work, Players can create aliens right from Create a Sim through a button next to Create a Sim. When selected it will bring up an Alien and there on you can change its skin tone through a unique shading of White, Purple, Green and Blue, Aliens can also wear futuristic and alien make up as well as Clothing in which Aliens can also wear the Alien suits. Until the May 4th 2015 game Update, many features available for human Sims weren't allowed for aliens in CAS such as hair, skin details, normal human clothing, glasses and other accessories. They originally only had 2 alien outfits available in 3 different colors. Alien-Sim hybrids, however, can be given anything a human sim can. Also in game, players can switch to the Alien's Disguise in which players can modify and change their disguised form at any time.

Tips Edit

  • Aliens created from a normal sim or alien-sim hybrid can have normal features, face presets and skin tones, while in turn, they cannot have any alien features, face presets or skin tones. This can allow you to sculpt your aliens in certain ways that are impossible when creating them from an alien.[3]
