At his age, Gavin never thought he would be adopted. He is grateful for the chance at a real family and has come to fiercely love his brothers and sisters. In fact, Gavin couldn't imagine life without them. He decided long ago that he would do whatever it took to protect and care for them!
He was orphaned along with his five adoptive siblings, and along with his sister Ginger, is responsible for finding a home. According to Gavin's bio, he is a fatherly figure for his younger siblings, and will do anything to protect and care for them, after their adoptive mother Gloria Newson died. He is on the first day of the teen life stage, making him the same age as Ginger.
When the family is first moved onto a lot, Gavin will be 15 days away from becoming an adult. When viewing his character data in SimPE, it can be seen that Gavin doesn't have a gender preference at the start of the game. This is also the case of the rest of his siblings, and Isaiah Gavigan. Despite his aspiration, he isn't interested in Money.
