She has five [[adoption|adoptive]] siblings [[Gavin Newson|Gavin]], [[Gabriella Newson|Gabriella]], [[Gallagher Newson|Gallagher]], [[Georgia Newson|Georgia]], and [[Garrett Newson]].
She was orphaned along with her five adoptive siblings, and along with her brother Gavin, is responsible for finding a home. According to Ginger's bio, she was a troubled child, but came out of her shell after she was adopted by [[Gloria Newson]]. She is forced to act as a mother for her younger siblings, and is having trouble in doing it.
Initially, Ginger is unable to teach any [[toddler skills]] to Georgia and Garrett, because her [[relationship]] with them is not high enough. Having her socialize with the toddlers, doing things such as talking, playing, snuggling and kissing them, can raise the relationship to the necessary level, after which she will be able to teach them their toddler skills.

However, in-game she is unemployed and on the first day of the teen [[life stage]], making her the same age as Gavin.
