While it is unexplained whether he or his twin brother is the older one, Joshua is 49 hours away from the final exam in his first semester, when the fraternity is first played. Martin is 45 hours from the final exam in his first semester, which could indicate that Martin is the older twin. However it may just mean that Martin is better educated, as he is more focused than Joshua. Their NIDs indicate that Joshua was the first twin to be created.

However they will look quite different from each other when they become [[elder]]s, even though they both use the 25th face in [[Create a Sim]]. For other life stages Joshua's face is linked to the 26th template while Mickey's is linked to the 2nd template.
