Lana is an NPC that was introduced in The Sims: Superstar. She's the Studio Town Production Assistant, and functions in a role similar to that of Kana from The Sims: Vacation. She welcomes Sims on their first visit to Studio Town, and advises them to do some activities. Players can have Sims ask her for information about various aspects of gameplay on Studio Town and some other things Fame-related such as Fans, Name Dropping, and Awards. She also has the ability to shoo the Obsessed Fan from the lot, if he's present.
