A legacy challenge is a challenge that starts with one adult sim by themselves in what is known as a "legacy lot" (a lot with only the bare necessities for the sim). There are no cheats allowed (except for move_objects on/off to fix a bugged game or to decorate). That sim has to marry one of the townies or a NPC and have children with them, and pick a child to do that same thing, called "carrying on the bloodline". This continues on for at least 10 generations.

Rules of the Legacy Challenge

The legacy rules can be found HERE.

Some Types of Legacies

  • Uglacy: Trying to create the ugliest sim possible in 10 generations.
  • Prettacy: Starting with a very ugly sim, then trying to make the prettiest sim possible in 10 generations.
  • Alphabet Legacy: Naming the children in alphabetical order for 27 generations. (e.g. Generation 2's names start with 'A' generation 2, 'B', generation 3, 'C', etc.)
  • Matriarch Legacy: Starting with an adult female, and getting her pregnant WITHOUT having her get married. This goes for all generations.
  • Riskacy: Having the founder and heirs marry the first adult sim of the opposite gender(playable, townie, or NPC) that walks on the lot.

These are just some of the many different legacies that there are.
