A library is a community building found in The Sims 3 that allows Sims to read books, but not bring them home. The library in Sunset Valley is known as Papyrus Memorial Library. The name refers to Papyrus, the first paper-like material, and the origin of the word Paper. Papyrus is no longer used, hence why it is a memorial.

The library also provides the use of computers and a few children's toys.
