List of songs in The Sims 2: Difference between revisions

This is a '''list of songs from all versions of ''[[The Sims 2]]''''' and its expansion and stuff packs. This list is separated into songs that are played in the [[neighborhood]] view, [[Buy mode|buy]] and [[build mode]]s, [[Create a Sim]], and on loading screens, as well as the [[Songs in Simlish#The Sims 2|Simlish songs]] that are played on the different [[radio station]]s on [[stereo]]s and [[community lot]] wall speakers. ==The Sims 2 (console)==

The [[The Sims 2 (console)|console version]] of ''The Sims 2'' features entirely unique radio station music, but borrows music from ''[[The Sims 2 Nightlife]]'' for the different modes. Many of the songs were originally recorded for ''[[The Urbz: Sims in the City]]'' and were held over to be used in ''The Urbz 2'', which was ultimately refactored into ''The Sims 2''. Other songs are remastered from selected artists' work. The music on the Bluegrass station was originally intended to be included on a country-themed station in the PC game, but was cut before release. One of the songs can be heard in a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA3vOnxZRkM pre-release montage] of music from the game, despite not appearing in the final release.

Several real-life songs were rerecorded into [[Simlish]], and can be played individually on a [[stereo]], much like selecting a radio station. These artists are Fischerspooner, Kitty Shack, MXPX, Paramore, Reggie & the Full Effect, and Trivium.
