Lola Singles: Difference between revisions

She is the daughter of [[Pollination Tech 9 Smith|Pollination Tech#9 Smith]] and [[Glarn Curious]]. Due to her unusual parentage she also has six half-siblings: [[Johnny Smith]], [[Jill Smith]], [[Jenny Smith]] (who is also Lola's and Chloe's stepmother), and the [[Curious family|three Curious brothers]]. When the [[Singles household]] is first played, she is 20 days away from becoming an [[elder]].▼

Despite not being the twins' biological mother, [[Glabe Curious]] raised Lola and Chloe rather than their father Glarn. In fact, none of the twins has memories of him. It is possible that Glabe and Glarn were once married, but divorced and the twins were left in her care.▼

While Lola is technically an alien-Sim hybrid, checking her [[Genetics#The Sims 2|Sim DNA]] in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] shows that she will always pass on genes for the alien skin tone, alien eyes, and black hair. As a result, it is likely that any children she has will be green. Even so, she is the only one of PT#9's pre-made offspring whose skin tone, eye color, and hair color are all consistent with the rules for genetics in ''The Sims 2''. As with many pre-made Sims in Strangetown, the "Skintone" part of her Sim DNA is missing.▼

For some reason, the familial relation between Lola and [[Curious family#The Sims 2|Glarn's children]] by [[Kitty Curious|his second wife]] was left out by Maxis. In fact, they have no relationships at all, and do not know one another. In any event, Lola can marry Vidcund, Pascal, or Lazlo, her unmarried half-siblings via her human father. This can be fixed with [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]], or the player can assume that they do not know they are related. While she does not recognize Jenny as family, and does not know her, she does know Jenny's children, Jill and Johnny, and recognizes them as family.▼

Some players doubt that she and Chloe are twins, as Lola is older than Chloe. However, a picture in the Curious brothers' family album shows Glarn holding one of them, the other on the floor, and Glabe crying.She and Chloe are considerably younger than Jenny, even though they were born earlier. It can be assumed that they had access to the [[Elixir of Life]], which could also explain the difference in their ages.▼

Jill and Johnny are Lola's half-siblings and niece and nephew at the same time, as Jenny is her stepmother as well as her half-sister. Lola, her sister Chloe, and Nervous Subject are the only living pre-made Strangetown Sims who were raised by a single parent.▼
