Lou Thanasia is the late twin brother of Hugh Thanasia and the brother-in-law ofOlive Specter. He died an early death, and, as with Olive's husbands (including her ex-fiancé Earl E. DeMise, who left Olive at the altar), it is suggested that perhaps, Olive murdered him. This theory has not been proved, yet it is a strong possibility. His name is a pun on euthanasia.
Lou is buried in the cemetery on Olive's lot in Strangetown.
