She appears in every [[neighborhood]], being occasional the neighbor of [[Sim]]s who live in a middle-low [[apartment]]. She can be made playable by befriending and asking her to move in, or by [[marry]]ing her. Like all pre-made townies, Marie's [[relationships]] with other townies are usually randomized at the start of the game.
She is employed in the [[Culinary#The Sims 2|Culinary]] [[career]] as a Drive through Clerk at the start of the game. However her career will randomly change to match her social class, when she moves in as a neighbor or is searched as a possible roommate. As far as [[personality]], Marie is very playful, quite neat, and a little bit nice. But she is very lazy and somewhat shy.
Marie doesn't have any pre-set [[skill]] points, which probably explains why she is still at level 2 of her career. She is mostly [[interest]]ed in Paranormal, Crime, and Sports. Marie has the same facial structure as [[Cara Livingston]]. Even though she has brown hair, Marie's SimDNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] confirms that her natural hair color is red. This is further supported as she has red eyebrows. Marie can be seen talking to [[Barbara Miceli]] in one of the photos in the [[Peterson family (Belladonna Cove)|Peterson family]] album.
