Mark Mothersbaugh is an American musician, singer and composer, most well known for his membership in the New Wave band Devo, as well as other musical projects. In August 2004, it was announced that he had been hired on as the Lead Composer for The Sims 2.[1] As such, he composed the signature sound in the various game modes within The Sims 2, including Create a Sim, Build mode, and Buy mode music. Mothersbaugh remains credited in all expansions for The Sims 2, though it is unknown what role, if any, he played in the composition of music for the expansions, since many of the songs featured in later expansions were composed by his team at Mutato Muzika (Silas Hite, John Enroth and Albert Fox)[2].
