He was the husband of [[Melinda Danders]], the father of [[Diane Pleasant]] {{nee|Danders}}, the grandfather of [[Daniel Pleasant]], and [[Jennifer Burb]] {{nee|Pleasant}}, and the great-grandfather of [[Angela Pleasant|Angela]] and [[Lilith Pleasant]], and [[Lucy Burb]].
Although Marshall is deceased when the game begins, he appears in the [[family tree]] of his grandchildren Daniel and Jennifer. Neither he nor his wife appear in ''[[The Sims]]'', although their daughter Diane does. According to Marshall's SimDNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]], his hair was brown before it turned grey. According to his age data, he had 15 days left in the [[elder]] [[life stage]] when he died. Like most pre-made deceased Sims from ''The Sims 2'', Marshall is completely unplayable without the use of hacks or third party programs, such as SimPE.
