If your character is female, Mimi agrees to lend you one of her houses (which is very dirty and victim of a recent fire). In this level, the player is required to clean the house and repair certain objects, while Mimi constantly checks on the player at least once a day, but if the player hasn't succeeded she will be a total snob about it. Once the player has passed this level, they are then offered to move in with Mimi in her own house, which is very large and more comforting than the other. In ''The Sims'' for console, she is interested in Money, Travel, and Weather. Mimi also can use the pool to swim and earn body points which promotes her to the next level of Lifeguard.

Unlike many other Sims in the game, Mimi is unwilling to skill-build, change careers, clean up, cook meals using the fridge, and answer the phone. However, she is willing to eat snacks, grill, and go to work.
Mimi is also on the [[Slacker]] career starting out as a Golf Caddy but, usually get promoted to Convenience Store Clerk after going to work the first time. As a Convenience Store Clerk, you can buy a swimming pool and build 2 Body skill points for her to be promoted to Lifeguard. After that, she will not get promoted to the next promotion, no matter how hard the player tries.

Like Dudley, Mimi knows all the members of the [[Roomies household (console)|Roomies household]]. Strangely she doesn't know the other members of the [[Landgraab family]] as they don't appear in her relationship panel.
Mimi is also in the Party Motel 2-player game mode as the 1st player's partner in the stage.

Choosing either the [[Movie Star]], [[Fashion Victim]], or [[Counter Culture]] career allows you to move in with Mimi. Sims are able to live in [[Mimi's Place]] until they have received two promotions in their [[career]] track.
In ''[[The Sims Bustin' Out]]'' console games, Mimi Landgraab is the daughter of antagonist and [[Repo-man]], [[Malcolm Landgraab (console)|Malcolm Landgraab]], the former stepdaughter of [[Mom]] (who has bitterly divorced with Malcolm at the start of the game), and like always, the sister of [[Dudley Landgraab]]. In this version, she is friendly and cooks. She, believe it or not being girly; does clean up when she feels like it. It is still the player's "job" to clean up when she doesn't.
 
Mimi's signature social interaction is to brag about money.
