The site focuses mainly on providing [[mod]]s for ''[[The Sims 2]]'', ''[[The Sims 3]]'' and ''[[The Sims 34]]'', most of which are created and maintained by the site's founder. The mods generally focus on either fixing bugs or removing annoyances, though a few add new features. MATY is not the most idiot-friendly community; forum members are not very forgiving of people who ask questions which have already been answered repeatedly, fail to show any desire to find things out for themselves, or generally behave in an immature or overly entitled manner. Newbies are encouraged to "LURK MOAR" in order to get a feel for the forumers' often pointlessly rude style of communication and heavy use of slang which is found nowhere else on the internet. However, reading the forums and downloading the content does not require registration.
