Music and Dance is one of the hobbies in The Sims 2. Its secret lot is My Muse - Music & Dance Studio.

Music and dance are great pastimes. Sims can play instruments, listen to music or try different types of dances, all of which will increase their enthusiasm for this wonderful hobby. High creativity makes it easier for Sims to gain enthusiasm in this area.

Activities

Activities that raise a Sim's enthusiasm in Music and Dance are:

• Playing Instruments
• Listening to or watching music being played
• Dancing
• Read the "Music and Culture" section of the newspaper or the "... and Headphones" magazine
• Doing "Warm Up" and "Ballet Exercises" on the Basic Barre and Better Barre
• Enter a Dance Contest
• Singing a Nursery Rhyme with a toddler or Sea Shanty with a pirate (requires Bon Voyage)

Positive Results

After maxing enthusiasm in this hobby, when your Sim plays the Concert Violin, she will change into formal wear and be cheered by an invisible audience. Using the ballet barres and other instruments has a similar effect but they do not change outfits.

Don't paint pictures to get creativity points as it will only go down as Arts and Crafts.
