Neighborhood

A neighborhood in The Sims 2 is the place where you build your houses.

The three neighborhoods that ship with the base Sims 2 are Pleasantview, Strangertown, and Veronaville. University allows you to add a university neighborhood onto one of your base neighborhoods. Nightlife allows you to add a downtown section to your neighborhoods. Open for Business allows you to add a shopping district to your neighborhoods. Seasons added a new base neighborhood, Riverblossom Hills, which was added to help you get use to Seasons.

And of course, you can create your own neighborhood from scratch, The Sims 2 comes with neighborhood templates you can use, and if you own SimCity 4, you can create your own terrain and everything.
