Peter lives with his mother, [[Dora Ottomas|Dora]], his wife [[Samantha Ottomas|Samantha]], and their three children, [[David Ottomas|David]], [[Sharla Ottomas|Sharla]], and [[Tommy Ottomas|Tommy]].

His wife is pregnant with [[Ottomas Twins|twins]] at the start of the game, but due to a bug, Peter may not be correctly designated as the biological father (this is addressed in the [[The Sims 2: Seasons/patchPatch|''Seasons'' patch]]). Peter and his family are in the [[family bin]] in each [[neighborhood]], and can be placed in whichever neighborhood the player chooses.
