The Sims 2

The Photo Booth is an object that came with The Sims 2: Nightlife. It is featured on some community lots and can also be purchased under "Other, Other" in the Buy catalog. A Sim or several Sims can take a set of photos while inside, with 2 types: Normal and Goofy, or with 2 Sims, there are 3 types: Normal, Goofy, and Romantic. The photos are available in the inventory of the Sim who purchased the photos. They can be placed on a table or on the wall. Less outgoing Sims will fear using the photo booth.

There is also an alternate set of photos which non-playable Sims will take autonomously, depicting the Sim doing "sexy" poses. This can be found in the Sim's inventory after they have been made playable.

A photo booth is one of the places a couple can WooHoo. When two Sims with a high relationship score are inside, they may have the option to WooHoo or Try For Baby. Doing so in a photo booth in a community lot fulfills the want for "Public WooHoo".

The Photo Booth returns in The Sims 3: Showtime with a new name: Gigi`s Photo Booth. It is very similar to the booth from The Sims 2: Nightlife, and is available on both community and residential lots. Pictures taken in this booth can be placed on a wall or kept in inventory and given as a gift.[1][2]
