Its name could be a reference to the fact that it's a nudist colony, and nudity is blocked in The Sims by ''pixels''. Acres refers to being surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and forests. ForIf example, if aany Sim showers outside while in Pixel Acres, they will remain nude until they sleep or change their clothes. For it's lack of structure when the player first moves in due to no rooms for beds and any actual entertainment such as watching television and listening to the radio, Pixel Acres is the best lot to experiment with building houses and customizing (not including any of the Free Streets).
 
* After the completion of the goal 'Find out what type of ghost problem the Goths are having', using the synthesizer on this lot will make all sims on the lot become nude.
If rearranging the lot is an option then players can start out by putting in rooms. The best spot to put in a rather large room is where the beds are and the east bathroom.For this room there's space to have an indoor kitchen, entertainment suite (or miniature living room), a room for the beds in the far right corner, a place for one of the dining tables and chairs, and to be serious about dress-code by putting in a dresser or a nice Armoir (a tall, well-spaced dresser with outside drawers). The current residents appreciate this opportunity of having better moods and more privacy. For the outside put in things that are normally kept outside (if available) or on patios and increase room and fun. Parties, especially, will be easier by leaving the outdoor kitchen and the other dining table and chairs (items that you didn't put in the "entertainment" room). If the player want this new building to be related to the property then use bright green wallpaper (represents the forest) for the main room and the zebra print paper (known as "African" and represents "Freedom") for the bathroom. If there's a bedroom use the red diamond wall (can represent the sunset). If wanted, any wood floor because of trees and the pale blue marble tile to indicate the sky. Use windows for energy efficiency and use Tiki torches since they give off a peaceful, orange glow.
 
*A player may decide to redecorate this lot. However, the rock, in the middle of this lot, cannot be sold or moved which is likely to obstruct house building.
*This is the only lot in the game where [[sims:Malcolm_Landgraab_(console)#The_Sims_Bustin.27_Out|Malcolm Landgraab]] repossesses three items instead of only two. The Hot spring, Ping-pong table and the tether ball are repossessed on this lot.
